Accuracy[edit]

This article seem to be ill informed and ignorance. If we are to merge "rentaka" and "lantaka", the article should be named "Rentaka".[edit]

Because rentaka is the original one. Lantaka in the Philippines is "Malay" influence (more like Nusantaran) and the name is borrowed from Malay anyway. The name change follows the usual consonant shift of r to l in many loan and native words in Tagalog (and in many other Philippine languages I assume). The e to a vowel change is just orthographical. This suggestion is coming from a Filipino.
