Took out "The term "lasing" is a back formation from "laser," which is an acronym, not an agent noun." This isn't an english article, and the sentence adds nothing but definitions made up by english majors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.95.151.193 (talk) 22:29, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I reverted you. As a laser physicist, I find the use of "to lase" as a verb interesting. Sorry for the commentless revert: I took your deletion as vandalism until I saw your comment here.--Srleffler (talk) 00:22, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
