Untitled[edit]

It seems wrong to say that he learnt his trade doing Abba videos. Some of his Swedish motion pictures from the 70s were among the most succesful movies in Sweden. Surely that must have been a bigger part of his development than a few Abba videos? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.151.192.10 (talk) 07:31, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He started doing music videos already in the late 60s (I think 1968) and continued doing it throughout the 70s. His most famous music videos were the ABBA ones. I think he did the first Swedish music video in 1968 (but I CANNOT find out the name of the song, nor the female artist!) from what I heard at TV. I can also recall an interview in which he stated that he learned the craft in his early days by the music videos (and that was more like the end of the 60s). 83.185.138.56 (talk) 21:53, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life[edit]

The text reads: "In 1990, he met fellow Swede, actress Lena Olin; they married on 18 March 1994. The couple currently reside in Bedford, New York, and have two children, Tora (born 1995) and producer and director F. Auguste Rahmberg (born 1986). "

This makes no sense: how can this couple have a child (listed second, for some reason) F. August Rahmberg, born in 1986, if the parents only met in 1990? There must be some mistake here - either the 1986 date of birth, or date when the parents met, or mistaken identity of the mother (this might have been from an earlier partnership of Hallström's with someone else), or the whole thing is wrong.

It appears, from the Wikipedia entry on Lena Olin at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lena_Olin, that F. August Rahmberg must actually be Olin's son by a previous partner, Örjan Ramberg.

"Olin was for many years (mid 1970s – end 80s) partner of Swedish actor and Royal Dramatic Theatre colleague Örjan Ramberg.[citation needed] They had a son, Auguste Rahmberg, in 1986. The relationship ended in the late 1980s."

It may be that Hallström adopted Auguste Rahmberg or in any case that Auguste lived with his mother and Hallström, which seems quite likely. But this ought to be clarified in the Hallström article, as it makes no sense as it appears. Someone who knows and can provide documentation should clarify it. I would then suggest an edit along the lines of the following:

"In 1990, he met fellow Swede, actress Lena Olin; they married on 18 March 1994. The couple currently reside in Bedford, New York, and have two children, Tora (born 1995) and Olin's son by previous partner Örjan Ramberg producer and director F. Auguste Rahmberg (born 1986). "

[Further clarify whether whether Auguste was adopted and can be considered one of Hallström's and Olin's "two children"; if not, whether that should be edited to "one child, Tora (born 1995)", with further optional mention of Auguste living with them.]

Knowing Me, Knowing You[edit]

In the article it states: "The films for "Knowing Me, Knowing You" (1977), "Happy New Year" (1980) and "One of Us" (1981) all contained substantial scenes shot in Hallström's own Stockholm apartment." I have seen the film "Knowing Me, Knowing You" dozens of times and cannot recall having seen even one second of footage that was shot in Hallström's apartment. The film is comprised of outdoor winter scenes, close-ups of the couples hugging and Ingmar Bergman-like scenes filmed in a non-descript studio where the members of ABBA are filmed in various combinations, full front and profile.

Where, if anywhere, in the film are there "substantial scenes shot in Hallström's own Stockholm apartment?" I'm not aware of any. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.153.193.77 (talk) 10:51, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
