Since I had never heard of this letter, I checked on the link Latin alphabet... and discovered that there is no single reference to "Latin gamma" --> is it a hoax? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 13:29, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

No. It is a standard letter used in many Latin orthographies, and has its own Unicode encoding. VIWS talk 01:54, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
