CBA to write it up but it can also refer to tricks, or 'hacks' in life, for example: Grip your left thumb in your left hand, and stick the index finger of your right hand down your throat. You will not gag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.97.44.239 (talk) 22:46, 19 December 2009 (UTC) "It is also known as a term to make fun of life. As example an excuse to mock relegions." what? I have never heard it used in this way. Could someone cite a source for that? User:Pete Iriarte[reply]

I have removed it. Google showed no sources for this statement that I could find. Pete Iriarte 06:28, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gordian knot?[edit]

Bringing Gordian knots into this topic is a real stretch, given that the term "life hack" has no etymology whatsoever stemming from that particular legend. The knot story is a dramatic one about a seemingly impossible obstacle, while "life hack" is more like a "tip", e.g. close your curtains in the winter at night to reduce the heating bill. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.147.123.145 (talk) 14:15, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Worse, the Gordian Knot nonsense is introduced with "arguably", a classic weasel word. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.114.179 (talk) 00:38, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unethical controversy[edit]

Which citation is the basis for the 2011 controversy. I don't see any mention of that in [10] or [8]--- which are confusing in any case, what do they apply to? -Reagle (talk) 19:34, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Too narrow in scope[edit]

My sense of the term "Life Hack" is much broader than the current page suggests; does anyone else feel that this topic should be broadened well beyond the scope of computer programs to aid productivity (currently the primary examples). Trying one's favourite search engine with "youtube life hacks" shows lots of material, but relatively little of it is computer-related. I'm happy the term might have developed with a narrower meaning or social context, but it seems to be much wider now.Klbrain (talk) 21:38, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
