City name translation[edit]

"The name of the town literally means "Castle of Linds" and it comes from the fact that many of the Swedish settlers had last names that started with "Lind" and the Swedish word for castle, which is "borg." Many Swedish cities are named "borg" instead of town, which is a cultural heritage from the Dark Ages. Lind literally is the Swedish word for the small-leaved lime tree."

I moved all the name translation text here. Discuss....determine the correct text...along with references to back it up...then put it back. 03:03, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

In the History section, it is discussed how France "Secretly" gave the land to Spain, can someone elaborate on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.77.9.98 (talk) 21:19, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
