Talk: List of Chaos Space Marines
Why is it all these articles have been mixed together? They've done more than enough to earn their own, separate articles? And how is it that Ahriman is so important he has his own article, and the others don't? We're also lacking a bit for Huron Blackheart. Nemesis646 (talk) 17:03, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Nemesis646
- There's a current drive across the whole of Wikipedia to try to limit the amount of purely fictional content included; most 40k stuff comes from a finite selection of sources and has little bearing to anyone except enthusiasts. It's likely that Ahriman will be folded back into this article at some point. Chris Cunningham (talk) 17:48, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- The gist of it is that the subjects of the merged articles are not notable as defined by Wikipedia: they have never been commented on by independent, third party sources. Ahriman's not included simply because I missed him when going through Category:Warhammer 40,000 characters :-) Cheers --Pak21 (talk) 20:26, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
The real world
As playing pieces in a tabletop strategy game, shouldn't there be at least a little detail in there about the characters' gameplay role, when they were introduced in the Codexes, when they got miniatures and how, etc. etc. etc.?220.127.116.11 (talk) 21:42, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, that's all that should be in the article. So yeah, what Falcorian said, with sugar on top. Chris Cunningham (talk) 22:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
The stats should not be included as this is an infringement on Games Workshop IP and a breach of copyright. Stats were never allowed on their forums, and so it is wrong that they should be here... - Regardless of whether it's a copyvio or not (although I certainly imagine GW think so), they're little more than game guide content, so they should be removed. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 10:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Ahriman40k.jpg
Image:Ahriman40k.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
