The Affair at Castelevara[edit]

Is not set in Latin America but in Franquist (Francoist) Spain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.108.27.26 (talk) 11:32, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

JaneOlds: It is established within the first two minutes of the episode that the country in which the episode is situated has airport signs exclusively in Spanish (not Portuguese), is close enough to Paris that errant husbands would go there for the weekend, has its international airports patrolled by police in tricornio hats. The Spanish Republic's government in exile was located in Paris. No Latin American country experienced a Civil War comparable in impact on the European history of ideas to that in Spain. Contemporary sources such as television guides from the 60ies bear out my contention that the episode was set in a "Hispanic country". Why do you revert my changes from "Latin American" to "Hispanic" without any need for support for "Latin American"? Why is, in the aftermath of another Catalonian conflagration, the rule of nerds that is wikipedia just allowed to canonize its opinion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.108.27.26 (talk) 13:30, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

>>> SPECIAL NOTICE <<<

Danger Man is a purely fictional television show and Castelevara is a fictional place so please make it say whatever you want it to say.

It will still be make-believe!

Andrew Pixley's book and Dave Rogers book both say Hispanic country as did the script notes. It was meant to be Spain but Danger Man nearly always presented fictional locations as did other spy series at the time, ie Man from Uncle.REVUpminster (talk) 16:26, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the quick responses. I shall wait a day or two for further opinion and then switch to 'Hispanic'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.108.27.26 (talk) 19:24, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Series 4[edit]

The dates and explanation of the screening of series four are not quite correct. In the London area (and others) these episodes played on February 19th and 26th 1967, interrupting the run of the fifth series of The Saint (which was at the time running out of completed episodes). The reason that these episodes were played in the Midlands in January 1968 was to allow London (and other regions) to catch up so that The Prisoner ended on the same weekend (Friday night on ATV Midlands, Sunday night on ATV London). This was required because there was no episode broadcast in London on November 19th 1967 due to ITV showing the Royal Variety Performance or on Christmas Eve, whereas the Friday episodes on ATV Midlands had been shown as normal.
