I believe this should not be deleted, but merged into either one of the Gaunt's Ghosts pages, or better yet (if one does not yet exist) form the basis for a Minor Characters in Gaunt's Ghosts (Warhammer 40,000) page. Any suggestions before I throw up a merge discussion? --Falcorian (talk) 01:39, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

A merge is only option I could see, no offence to the original author but the article itself it pretty awful, even if merged a lot of work should be done to the content, as in maybe starting again? I dont know enough about Gaunts Ghost to comment on such a page but from an unknowing point of view it sounds like a good idea? Lowris 11:28, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
The article has no merit realy, and comes close to nonsense - it clearly has been written by an enthusiastic young fan and really needs a complete rewrite. My opinion : Merge it into Minor Characters in Gaunt's Ghosts (Warhammer 40,000) at *new* authors discression and expunge what has been written so far. Rsquire 12:44, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Clean up[edit]

This article has potental but BOY does it need a clean up. Anybody? I'll do it if I have to but I'm busy so it will take longer. --Nayl 20:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm doing the best I can in my little free time at the moment; started with Cuu, seeing as that was pretty inappropriate. I'll try and do some more soon :).

Other than Ghosts?[edit]

Seeing that this article is about the Gaunt's Ghosts characters, not just Gaunt's Ghosts, I think we should present some info of the other characters in the books. Venerable Lord General Noches Sturm, for instance, seems far too important character to be ignored. Perhaps we could even include all those important characters from Gaunt's past, such as Slaydo and Dercius? --Potman (quest) 14:30, March 2, 2007

I see no reason not to. --Falcorian (talk) 15:33, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

There we go, added Sturm myself, although someone might check the article and make some changes. Was gonna add several others once I've got some sleep. --Potman (guest) 23:28, 2 March 2007

This page is fairly bad at present.. the "Alive" box thing is particularly ugly, but the whole page is in need of a copyedit and could probably benefit from a trim - I'm a fan of these books and even I don't recall some of these very minor characters as being anything other than examples of new ways to get killed. I might have a go at creating something in my sandbox, if anything comes of it I'll put a link here for comments. shasYarr!/T|C 09:24, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Agun Soric[edit]

Agun Soric served with the Ghosts from Verghast to Aexe Cardinal before his psychic powers emerged and he was turned over to the Inquisition on Herodor. Should he not be included in that list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 10:34, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

A very significant character in the series Gaunt's personal vox-officer, adjutant and one of the best engineers in the regiment has been left off this list. Don't have all his details including his first name but he served on Gereon as one of the members of Gaunt's Strike team and his heavily modified vox unit was used to house the locator beacon for the inquisition in The Armour of Contempt. During the fight on Gereon he is responsible for setting up the entire communications network for the Resistance. He is best known for his observation "Something is awry", usually addressed to Gaunt and occuring at least once in nearly every book of the series. -- (talk) 22:54, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Vox officer Nikki Nik

Instead of the "Alive" box with each character, perhaps there could be a short "Introduced in..." and "Last appearence..." section, so, for example, Sergent Blane's section would read:

Sergent Blane

Introduced in: First and Only
Last Appearance: First and Only (killed)

A dependable man, one of the first Tanith NCO's. Tasked with rearguard on Menazoid Epsilon. He and his entire platoon were killed by members of the Jantine Patricians who were ordered by General Dravere to wipe out the Tanith.

Would this work? AlexAH (talk) 02:06, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm going to start looking at improving this page, most likely I'm going to go down the route of List of Star Trek Characters with some kind of general referance template, items alphabetized by surname, removal of rank from name/header, I plan to initally only look at characters that have are named and 'talk' within the novels, so characters like Captain Vigo Kamori and Scout Trooper Coir etc may disappear initally - Nighthaunter (talk) 03:06, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
