Rearrangement[edit]

Why don't we make the article into similar as Japanese one? That Japanese one seems systematical. KyleRGiggs 07:47, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

funimation voice actors[edit]

ok where are the voice actor from the funimation version? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.196.0.13 (talk) 20:22, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Wataru's Levin[edit]

Since a specific brand was never mentioned in the manga or the anime and "boom-boom" sounds kind of silly to say, should we just say turbocharger? -67.176.175.142 (talk) 19:02, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind. I've gone ahead and removed 'boom-boom' from the description. -67.176.175.142 (talk) 01:19, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Wataru's Levin, discussion redux[edit]

Dear TakumiFuji01, I'm asking you take our discussion to the talk page, instead of turning this tiff into an edit war. -Carguy1701 (talk) 04:55, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

Ages[edit]

Is there a reason why two ages are listed for each character? The tables should show the age of the character when they debuted in the series (add which Stage where appropriate) or if they have a particular profile page. -AngusWOOF (talk) 21:02, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

List[edit]

This article is supposed to be a list of characters--instead, we had a list of teams, of car parts, of spoilers, of manufacturers providing car parts and spoilers, and a hell of a lot of plot summary and other original research. This is not acceptable--if you want that kind of detail, please get a page on Wikia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place for listing fan trivia. Drmies (talk) 04:40, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Hey! What have you done with article ?[edit]

It was realy useful, rich detailed article, that i read many times, but now it uselles trash! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.53.193.123 (talk) 12:11, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

Please see the previous comment List. If you want all that detail about the cars go visit the Wikia. But if you want to provide a better description here for the characters and have the chapters or episodes to support the detail, feel free to do so. Highlight of Cars[edit]

First of all, thank you to Drmies and AngusWOOF for cleaning up this articles to be more inline with Wikipedia's article standards :) I had attempted the same thing a couple of years ago, only to have it reverted back a couple of months after (I gave up on it after that).

Anyway, do you think it'll be a good idea to have one line before the body of each character referencing the car of choice for each driver? Something like this:

Takumi Fujiwara (藤原 拓海 Fujiwara Takumi?, "Tak")
Car: Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (AE86)
Takumi Fujiwara is the main character of the Initial D...

It might be okay as long as it is kept simple and doesn't blow up into the unsourced fancruft mess of car details (engines used, peak hp or torque, what type of wheel drive/braking, synthesis/original research about the year model, license plate, and other mods) the old article had. Also, it should focus on the character's primary car, like Nakazato's R-32, not what he used to drive prior to his introduction to the series. Also, as long as the Arcade games and related media don't have such a big variety. Half of the characters in article are listed only with their car models and actors because they haven't been filled in with a proper description. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:41, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
You're exactly right. All I was going to write was like the example I just gave. I'll do it to what I think is correct. Remove it if you feel it's not as good as we thought. Gilke001 (talk) 03:16, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
