Wrong Entrys???[edit]

Well Guys, Crash Bandicoot is a PS exclusive Game, I doubt it ever was released on Mac, and so does Crash Bandicoot Page on wikipedia.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot

Could somebody please remove all those red links? Peter S. 21:49, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, done by me. A macro that removes them regularly would be nice. Peter S. 15:54, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Imperfect List[edit]

Missing The Oregon Trail, and a an oregon-trail-like game that was set in Australia (that I can't remember the name of). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.184.122.12 (talk) 05:31, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I know. I was thinking about buying a Mac, coz of the Vista problems, but now I just don't know. Maybe Ubuntu? 203.31.173.2 (talk) 02:34, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that any list like this ignores various titles that existed only on the Macintosh (like the entire World Builder game creator series by Silicon Beach which came out in 1986 and would run on any Mac OS until Leopard came out and at its height had some 100 games to its name). Take a look at Apple's own list of available gamesand see just how many titles there are not on this list. Of course you have Sturgeon's law at work; so yes you have a lot in terms of quantity on the Windows side but look at the quality; generally only the best or most popular games get ported to the Macintosh. And yes because you could make your own games with World Builder Sturgeon's law applied there as well; (only about 20 of the WB games were actually good)--BruceGrubb (talk) 12:13, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pax Imperia[edit]

Rearrange List[edit]

These games should be listed by genre, then alphabetically, not just alphabetically. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.108.150.5 (talk) 15:39, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's probably too complex. Lots of games are ambiguous and will match serveral genres. 2fort5r (talk) 10:22, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ton 'o console games[edit]

Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog? I don't recall those being released for the Mac, even in compilations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.79.107.28 (talk) 19:49, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TOCs[edit]

Is there a reason why the TOC needs to appear multiple times? 2fort5r (talk) 10:22, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Blocked???[edit]

Why is the List of Macintosh Games currently blocked from being edited?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.7.188.189 (talk) 22:45, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Again with the blocking??? Who is running this site? What is going on here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.7.188.189 (talk) 19:11, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Compilations[edit]

Should Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay really be given its own listing? While it is available on the Mac its only available as part of the more recent Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. This question also extends to compilations as a whole - do we list the individual games or only the compilations that they're available through? --204.186.197.43 (talk) 14:45, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good question. My thinking is that each is a full game in it's own right, and they were separately released for PC. Not just Mac Users will be looking at this wiki article. Supposing, I'm running another platform and thinking of switching to Mac, but want to know what games are available. If I don't specifically look up information on the Mac version of Dark Athena, then I will never know that Butcher Bay is available too. Additionally, the List of Macintosh Games is a list of games, not a list of products sold for Macintosh. I tend to ignore compilations when adding to the List, but I've also not bothered to remove some compilations added by others. The Commandos Battle Pack games are also on the list separately as Commandos 2 & 3. One exception I've added is the Brothers in Arms pack by Feral. I didn't separate that because the same compilation was released for Wii, and I couldn't find any concrete information as to whether there were any enhancements or added features to the original games Earned in Blood and Road to Hill 30. If anyone knows that the compilation is just a simple re-release of those two games, then it may make sense to separate them as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.7.188.189 (talk) 04:09, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Architecture Compatibility[edit]

The architecture compatibility would be useful.

Not sure of the best way to list it though.

PPC/Intel?

When looking at a person, in many societies, one deduces is that person is male of female from clues provided. Clothing, hair style, wearing makeup or not, voice, mannerisms, and a myriad of other methods. Female breasts can be a decisive clue, if obvious and located on a certian body type. Of course, one could simple ask. However, asking might be considered rude and/or insulting and the person does not have to answer. A very valuable clue could be simply looking at their genitals. In many societies, this is considered unacceptable and taboo. In many places, this taboo is diminishing as time passes.
Macintosh games tend to offerer clues to systems specs in a similar way. They name mac models (for older systems) and operating systems (for newer systems). But listing anything more is apparently taboo, like asking to see genitals. This taboo as well, seems to be diminishing, but this is of little help for older games.

Raided[edit]

My software company has been raided by US marshals. What people specifically at Wikipedia should I give names to them who authorised these games as abandonware? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.38.160 (talk) 22:40, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
