Why do we care which state the ambassadors come from? They're not representing Maryland or New York -- they're representing the President of the USA. 155.213.224.59 (talk) 17:42, 21 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Since the article also includes the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), as well as the Republic of China(1912-1949) the article description should be changed to 'Diplomats leading the American mission to China', rather than sorely the People's Republic of China.
