Lots of inaccuracies

There are an awful lot of inaccuracies in this article. As someone from the skydiving and BASE scene these are only the ones that I know are wrong or slightly miss-written.

It also seems weird that Patrick de Gayardon isn't on here when he basically invented the modern wingsuit and died wearing one.

12 December 2012 - Eiliv Ruud - Wasn't wearing a wingsuit at all. He was wearing a tracking suit (which also improves glide ratio but has no wings) and flying in a narrow canyon with his friend (Andrey Karr) following behind him at a new jump they were opening. He failed to clear the edge of the gully at the end.

29 March 2014 - Three experienced wing-suit flyers: New Zealander Dan Vicary (33), Frenchman Ludovic Woerth (34), and American Brian Drake (33) - They didn't take a wrong turn they were just dropped a little short of where they wanted to be by the heli pilot, so opted to fly around the end of the ridge trying to get back to the same line rather than taking the normal higher way into it. After coming around the corner they couldn't make it back to the line and were quickly too low to pull. Dan even bangs on the window of the helicopter before jumping, motioning the pilot to fly further forward, but then jumps before the pilot has had time to move anywhere.

2 September 2014 - Alex Duncan - Didn't crash into a mountain during the jump. He had a bad exit as he jumped before stalling and spinning the suit. He impacted the ledge and talus below the exit. He was also not that new to the wingsuit scene either having been wingsuiting since 2011.

3 July 2015 - Jhonathan Florez - Didn't fall from the exit point. He was jumping a suit which didn't have as fast a start arc as the other jumpers suit and was unable to get flying in time before impacting.

21 August 2016 - Alexander Polli - Crashed into the trees whilst attempting to barrel roll mid flight.

27 January 2017 - Graham Dickinson - Didn't crash during training. He was trying to jump before making a quick almost 180 degree turn and flying back through the Tianmen Cave / Heavens Door. He was jumping solo and his choice of suit might have had an influence, as it wasn't the shortest start best gliding suit he could have chosen for such a technical jump.

June 2017 - Micah Couch - Had been practising pulling low, potentially in preparation fora stunt he was planning thought he may not have been on this jump. His choice of wingsuit (a skydive specific race suit with very high internal arm pressure) and short non wingsuit specific container meant he was unable to reach his pilot chute so couldn't deploy his parachute.

22 October 2004 - Roland "Slim" Simpson - Is also partially inaccurate. He died after his life support was turned off in the hospital

26 March 2009 - Shane McConkey - rather than saying "performing a complicated ski-BASE" it would be more accurate to say "performing a complicated wingsuit ski-BASE which included aerials"

flying

Your title is incorrect as it uses the word "flying". Flying has a definition and what these people do is not flying. It is gliding. I know the word is commonly used in revering to wingsuit gliding but is factually incorrect. Jackhammer111 (talk) 01:52, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Adrian Nicholas

On October 11, 2016, anon-user 86.167.195.75 left this comment in the article: "This jump has nothing to do with being caused by a wingsuit so should not be seen as a wingsuit fatality. Since he was not even wearing one on this jump." I am copying it here since it seems as a comment/criticism to the article itself. No use

I don't see any value in this article. It does not follow any system and mixes up a lot of things like BASE jumping and skydiving, being in complete in both disciplines. It is not even citing the most noteworthy wingsuit accidents (as stated by others above), leaving important ones out and mentioning not so important (to wingsuit flight, don't want to disrespect the fatalities) others. I don't know enough about the sport to modify contents in the page, but I did want to add this list to the talk page that I found online on (https://bfl.baseaddict.com) which gives over 460 names and information related to the deaths. Weird phrasing

"Dr Angelo Grubisic (38), a Serbian-British wingsuit champion and astronautical engineer, died on a planned BASE jumping accident in Saudi Arabia."
