Yippies[edit]

I added the yippies, they're a little different than the other parties, but they should still count. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.193.131.57 (talk) 21:14, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Poland[edit]

Civic platform is the biggest and currently governing party of Poland, Prime Minister is its member. It has nothing to do with political satire. Why it is mentioned here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.31.153.101 (talk) 15:36, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

These frivolous political parties are , in fact, existence, and stood in some national election. In Japanese Wikipedia Page, I think that it could be the reference information. --Mtcedar (talk) 11:46, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If you have referencs, please add them.Otherwise the text will be deleted according to wikipedia policies. I can invent some funny names myself and claim that Bwana Mzimu Kubwa was a tonga-in-cheek party in Zamunda. I see your account exists since 2005. Time to learn that links to other wikipedia articles are not valid references in English wikipedia. -No.Altenmann >t 15:24, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Natural Law Party[edit]

I'm removing them. They may have been nutters, but they were not a lampoon or satire party. SigPig |SEND - OVER 14:46, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

War Party[edit]

I know the War Party is a fictional party from GWAR's album of the same name, but can it also count as a satirical political party as well considering that it addresses the issues of warmongering in the United States? ルーカス2005 13:05, 13 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Buckethead[edit]

Does Lord Buckethhead have a party, and even the anwer is no should he be in the list? 2A00:23C5:BC00:8A00:2D40:8BF6:D8C9:30AC (talk) 10:25, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No - he stood as an independent. I would argue yes that he should be in the list, considering Mickey Mouse is, though if we're sticking to just parties no. He did stand for a party, my apologies. However, a consensus does should need to be reached as to whether this list should include things other than specific parties, like Mickey Mouse, who is currently in the list. I would argue that Lord buckethead's party is notable enough to include in this list, purely on the grounds of his having his own Wikipedia article it is notable enough to be included.Keira1996 14:09, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

One needs sources per WP:RS telling that party X was "created for the purposes of entertainment or political satire" to include something to the list. In some cases that could be a just a funny name, but the party was created with the purpose to actually represent certain categories of people. My very best wishes (talk) 16:28, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Counter-Comment[edit]

That is simply not true, Satire is a political ideology because it involves politics. In the article, which is constantly getting reverted, is satire. I’ll give you an example, Official Monster Raving Loony Party, in the United Kingdom, has it as an ideology, Hungarian Two-tailed Dog Party has it as ideology.199.231.178.102 (talk) 16:52, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know anything about parties you are talking about. I am only saying that inclusion must be sourced. That's the policy, and it is not negotiable. My very best wishes (talk) 18:11, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
