The map is too large for the page, and it's overlaying the first few lines of the article. -- Zoe
This article should not rated as B-class. That this is the highest ranking available without GA nomination. It is far from it. And being a rather poor list with no order or coherence, it is not even a start. No general info - just a list. I agree the importance is med to high so happy to leave it as high. --Merbabu 03:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know what should be here other than the list; it's already pretty long and adding much other information might break the organization of a list, and it should be on the pages of those islands which are linked. Perhaps it should be moved to List of islands of Indonesia? (Which redirects here, an administrator would have to fix that) If it is re-named, I would say it should be start class, as it needs sourcing and copy editing (but is too comprehensive for a stub). Lists of Indonesia[edit]
Attract lots of red links that appear over time, and then to never be matched to an article in english. As a consequence it is proposed this list will in a few months time either have red links either unlinked (grey links with no brackets at all) or moved to the talk page until such time that articles are created. Please respond by supporting or offering alternative methods as to removing the red link syndrome that afflicts so many lists in this project. Thanks (not planning to do anything till January 2009) SatuSuro 05:08, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Needs serious review to remove red links, hoax names and inadequate referencing SatuSuro 23:07, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Mr. Soetoro, Tear Down This Archipelago[edit]
According to a 2002 survey by National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), the Indonesian archipelago has 18,307 islands. According to the CIA factbook there are 17,508 islands. 8,844 islands have been named according to estimates made by the Government of Indonesia. The European Union estimates that there are over 100,000 islands in Indonesia. The Kenyan government admits that there are at least one island while the Governor of Northern Tanzania has estimated 25,000 islands in the Indonesian archipelago. The Governor of Leflore County says the number of islands in Indonesia is classified. The Australian government has no comment at this time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.141.14.67 (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
