Harvard Observatory[edit]

Is "Harvard Observatory, Cambridge" either Harvard College Observatory or the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory of the Minor Planet Center or both or neither? Since Harvard is one of the major sources for this list, you'd think that at least that one would include appropriate links. Gene Nygaard 14:13, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Mapping of codes based on list of observatory codes[edit]

The usage of the codes in the list is mapped on d:User:Romaine/Mapping/List of observatory codes based on the primary source of List Of Observatory Codes and this list. This makes it possible to search easily for the item belonging to a code, even if it is not linked in the list or only available in another language than English. Observatory Codes missing[edit]

There are many Observatory Codes missing there a lot work to be done. If we code it right it should be essay to update each month after the "Minor Planet Circulars" are published. Bayoustarwatch (talk) 15:39, 8 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on List of observatory codes. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Question? Archived sources still need to be checked

Wikidata[edit]

I've set up a list of observatory codes used in Wikidata entries at User:Mike Peel/Observatory codes, which should be auto-updated every so often. There are plenty of codes not yet on wikidata - please add P717 to observatory wikidata entries that don't already have them! Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 21:15, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
