Newer buildings[edit]

Should it be allowed to insert structures build after former Yugoslavia collapsed, like Bosmal City Center, built in 2001? TheMiner 22:16, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

I think we shouldnt put them.
But, do someone know, how tall are the towers of the Eastern City Gate of Belgrade ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.116.161.243 (talk) 13:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Go ahead and put it up, 117m I think. says former, what's the use of this info, like ppl really care what tallest tower in former yugofed was. Put it up, and if someone complains, than you can aways tell them to sod off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.95.250 (talkcontribs) 02:51, 30 May 2008
I don't think such a list would be relevant, and I've removed these newer entries from the article. It would mean that former Yugoslavia isn't just a historical/political region, but a current geographic region, which it isn't, really. The problem is, is it common for people to compare modern-day building heights in these countries, and these countries alone? Perhaps some, but because the region isn't isolated, any realistic comparison would necessarily draw in data from the neighboring countries that weren't part of former Yugoslavia. Even if we pretend that this problem doesn't exist, it's still a slippery slope - as more and more new buildings get built, the old list that was actually relevant at the time of SFRY, would become obsolete. So all in all I think it's safe to say that including new buildings is anachronistic and wrong. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:50, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

List of tallest structures in former Yugoslavia[edit]

Yugoslavia is no more, therefore irrelevant. as a matter of fact, whole tallest structure in ex-Yugoslavia is totally irrelevant and should be deleted, it has no informative value. thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.220.53.72 (talk) 01:49, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Assuming we don't conflate present with the past (see above), this is just an article containing historic data, which is fairly informative in its context. The list serves to illustrate how much high-rise construction went on during former Yugoslavia. It shouldn't be deleted. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:50, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

nonsense, most of the buildings on that list were built after the brake up of jugolala. should be deleted as it nonsensical article based in irrelevant data of no use to anyone other than nationalist to polish their egos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.220.53.72 (talk) 19:17, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
