List order[edit]

Is there any logical way to order this list? Does the current order have any purpose? Mechanic1c (talk) 21:30, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's in chronological order, or at least it was until the previous editor added a lot of stuff; I'm not sure if it still is. (I intend to remove all the unsourced original research soon, but don't want to violate 3RR.) Popcornduff (talk) 13:36, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Silent Spring"[edit]

So Silent Spring was adapted into the song "The Numbers" and released today on A Moon Shaped Pool. Should it be removed from the list?

I Promise[edit]

How about including "I Promise", played live between March and August 1996

I'd really like to, but I can't find a reliable source for it. A YouTube video doesn't cut it; we need to find a book or music journal (like Rolling Stone or Pitchfork or something) that mentions it. Popcornduff (talk) 03:01, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But the Rolling Stone contributor might very well be doing just what this person did: watching the YouTube video. It's arbitrary to have to wait for someone at Rolling Stone to watch the exact same video all of us can watch with our own eyes (and ears). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Agidor Rodiga (talkcontribs) 07:07, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid that's against Wikipedia policy. Original research is banned. Instead, we have to use sources with some editorial oversight, reliability, etc. We can't just say "I saw it on the internet." We have to wait until a trusted source says "I saw it on the internet" instead.
YouTube videos are also not the best sources. For more details, read WP:YouTube and WP:OR. Popcornduff (talk) 08:29, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request for comment: do we still need this article?[edit]

A few of the songs on this page are simply titles mentioned in interviews, with no known performances or recording history. Is this page useful? Should we keep it? Popcornduff (talk) 08:55, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Background info: When I created this page a couple of years ago, Radiohead were notorious for unreleased songs. Numerous publications had covered some of these songs in some depth, especially Lift, True Love Waits, and Man of War. Now those songs and many others have been released on A Moon Shaped Pool and the recent OK Computer reissue (and in some cases now have their own pages), the list on this page has become rather thin. I'm really in two minds about whether we need it or not. Other opinions would be appreciated. Popcornduff (talk) 08:56, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I say keep it. It provides a look at the genesis of their discography, and is valuable for research purposes. No reason to delete, and might be expandable, perhaps by adding covers they've done (like my personal fave, Rhinestone Cowboy). Tvoz/talk 04:10, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think maybe merging with Songs recorded by Radiohead in a separate section might be a little better. Don't help me, help the bear. 19:23, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
