Real name of "Tinnus"[edit]

Hey. I just finished writing this much-needed article, and I was wondering if anybody knows what Tinnus's real name is? I had trouble finding it. Also, please check to make sure everything is accurate, especially the Development section. Thanks! michaelb 12:26, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

I'd say you would have some serious trouble to find my real name, since it's practically known to no one in the web :) I'm happy with just "Tinnus" though. --Tinnus 23:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Ah, what the heck. It's been long enough, might as well have my real name recognized =P I've edited the article and put it there. --Tinnus 04:01, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Explanatory note[edit]

I've added an explanatory note in the lead section to make clear that this is not an emulator of Palm OS on a typical desktop system, but rather a program that runs on Palm OS to emulate something else. This may seem obvious to people who know about this, but it's initially quite confusing to other people (the audience for such an article). The vast majority of the time that a mobile device is said to have an "emulator", it means a desktop program that emulates the device. I had to go through several web pages on this product before I finally realized that this emulator isn't something that happens to emulate lots of gaming devices AND Palm OS (which is where all my games are), but rather makes the Palm device itself a multi-platform gaming device.

I hope that my single new sentence makes the difference clear before readers settle down to learning about what seems to be a very intriguing program. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 22:32, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit]

Could Pohta ce-am pohtit or someone please highlight (or paste below) the specific language that is soapy so that it can be modified? Maybe the feature list should be re-written as a prose list instead of bulletpoints? It just looks descriptive to me, so please help specify which parts are promotional or advocacy content. -kslays (talkcontribs) 17:42, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Qualifiers like this without attribution are advertorial. Pcap ping 18:06, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Oops, don't know how I missed that blatant unsourced promotion, thanks for pointing it out and helping me learn a bit more detail about Wikipedia. Hopefully I cleaned it up a bit. -kslays (talkcontribs) 21:15, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

This article has been suggested to be merged with Phoinix into a new generic Palm OS emulator article per this discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Little John Palm. -kslays (talkcontribs) 20:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
