Talk:Long John Nebel

In the 1960s Long John was sponsored by the Carnegie Deli in New York. He used to finish his live commercials with an invitation to visit the deli and say hello to three men (either the owners or manager or maitre' d) and tell them that Long John sent you. Does anybody recall the names of the three men? One, I believe was Bernie. 07:56, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I am suggesting that the dates mentioned for WOR and WNBC must be wrong. The Bain Biography says he started at WOR in 1956 not 1954. He must have gone to WNBC in 1963 not 1962. Anyone else agree/disagree?' — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lancemoody (talkcontribs) 19:06, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

This is long (no pun intended) on information, but short on citations. Please provide inline citations. ludahai 魯大海 02:01, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

I grew up across the street from where Long John Nebel lived in Murray Hill and would see his Smith Limo pick him up and bring him home.Later when he married Candy Jones I would see the two of them going back and forth to the show. Sadly I remember seeing him being helped from a wheelchair in his final days. We would see him carrying home groceries from time to time from the local A&P. When school was out for the summer I would sometimes stay up all night listening to his show. Rollerena (talk) 04:14, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

No previous updates to this page in over a year. Hmmm, not what you'd call high volume. Be that as it may...

I'd sure like someone to identify on the main page what Long John's theme music.
