Why this film is notable[edit]

The DocuWeeks screenings are done each year (this is the 14th year) with a handful of films (this is one of 17 films chosen this year) that are considered worthy of consideration for Academy Award nomination in the Documentary category. To be eligible for nomination a film must have theatrical openings in New York City and Los Angeles, which is why two of the most prestigious art house theaters in the US (the IFC Center in NY and Arclight Hollywood in LA) take the time each year to present these movies. This is a major event for any documentary. John Dhabolt (talk) 23:17, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

If that's so, you should have no difficulty producing evidence of notability, but all you've provided so far in the way of "references" are schedules of the showings. You need to produce something better than that, otherwise it could be a candidate for AfD. Jimmy Pitt talk 22:49, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
