Coord[edit]

The Town of Lucas, Wisconsin, is, according to the USGS (U.S. Geological Survey Geographic Names Information System: Town of Lucas), at 44°54′07″N 92°04′15″W / 44.90194°N 92.07083°W / 44.90194; -92.07083, which is south of the coords presently (26 Feb 2011) listed. Google Earth shows the Lucas Charter School at 44°53′04″N 92°03′36″W / 44.88444°N 92.06000°W / 44.88444; -92.06000. --Bejnar (talk) 16:29, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
The USGS GNIS page goes on to state: "An active county subdivision that is not coextensive with an incorporated place," ... "coordinates are located at the centroid." --Bejnar (talk) 16:34, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
  • A map of the Town of Lucas, is at http://216.222.161.54/website/gis/viewer.htm. It shows that the center of the area is indeed about half-way between In Interstate 95 and State Rt. 29. Based on this and the above, I have changed the coordinates to reflect the USGS data. --Bejnar (talk) 16:40, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
