The basic data is incorrect. The Matador is not an Inter-continental Ballistic Missile. It does not have intercontinental range, and flies under power from a tubojet engine, using wings for lift. It is an early cruise missile.

Math error?[edit]

From the article,

When the Launch Officer pressed the two launch switches, the RATO bottle fired, accelerating the missile to 250 miles per hour in the space of two and a half seconds, at which point it had flown about a quarter mile.

Let's round the 250 miles per second to 270, so I can do the math in my head.

270 miles per hour are 4.5 miles per minute, or .075 miles (~400 feet) per second. Using these figures, after 2.5 seconds the missile would have traveled no more than .1875 miles, ~25% short of the claimed "quarter mile." And note that it's an upper bound, in that I blithely assumed that the missile was moving at a constant 270 rather than 250 mph, from the very instant of launch. A figure of .09 miles, or ~150 yards, looks more plausible but is only based on my OR... So I didn't change the figures in the article. - ¡Ouch! (hurt me / more pain) 10:18, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rocket specification "leaks" into TOC[edit]

Does anyone know why the template content appears inside the TOC? The same happens in MGM-13 Mace. I don't understand the parser syntax in the template well enough to fix this. --Jadephx (talk) 21:45, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
