Led Zep?

[edit]

maybe I'm nuts, but I thought I knew classic rock and to my recollection Led Zepplin never covered "magic carpet ride", —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.72.215.225 (talkcontribs) 12:56, September 25, 2006 (UTC)

I deleted the led zep cover part. Led Zeppelin never played, covered or performed this song. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.150.54.173 (talkcontribs) 17:36, October 2, 2006 (UTC)

Easy Rider?

[edit]

Don't remember hearing "Magic Carpet Ride" in "Easy Rider." "The Pusher" and "Born to be Wild" did have prominent roles. Methinks the author may have been confused. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.116.222.226 (talk) 18:01, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, 2015 was too early. For the 50th anniversary of Easy Rider in 2019, the movie soundtrack was performed live by Kay, Roger McGuinn (Byrds) and others. In addition, Kay sang "Magic Carpet Ride", kind of making it part of the official soundtrack. As you may know, Easy Rider was over 3 hours long initially, and got cut down during almost one year of editing, with all outtakes being lost. 193.159.108.238 (talk) 03:41, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mighty Dub Kats

[edit]

This song title also was used by Norman Cook (aka Pizzaman aka Fatboy Slim) in 1995. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 194.72.165.193 (talkcontribs) 11:12, October 30, 2006 (UTC)

Star Trek

[edit]

It seems very odd that a needle drop in Star Trek First Contact is relevant at all, let alone important enough to mention in the opening paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.18.242.88 (talk) 00:30, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
