Taekwondo at the 1988 Olympics[edit]

Taekwondo was a demonstration sport at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. It would not become an official Olympic sport until 2000. Medals earned in demonstration sports are not counted as Olympic Medals. Therefore, Vasugai Maramuthu's medal in 1988 is not considered an official medal.
