NPOV

[edit]

the first paragraph reads like a promotional text and not at all in accordance with encyclopedic standards. I dont know that much about the artist. can somebody else please change this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.181.154.67 (talk) 14:57, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maluca vs. Maluca Mala

[edit]

Is it like Elvis where it could go either way? ErikHaugen (talk) 05:51, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Her act is Maluca (ie - it's what is on show/marquee banners) but her stage name is Maluca Mala. Make sense? 63.81.159.150 (talk) 23:01, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thank you! ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 23:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Serious Advertisement/NPOV issues

[edit]

Numerous problems with the wording in this artice. Sounds like the about section on a Myspace page rather than an encyclopedia article. Phrases like "the fiery Dominicana", "Raised on a steady diet of mambo, bachata, and other Latin sounds", and "her music ignore traditional boundaries and drag Latin music out of the so-called “world music” doldrums" seriously call into question NPOV and blatantly contravene WP:NOTADVERTISING. Citations and external links appear to be little more than promotional material and interviews with the artist. GrahamNoyes (talk) 20:30, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I concur - what a mess. Were it not for her #11 Latin hit (which, interestingly, AllMusic contests) I would be prodding it right now.--Launchballer 22:05, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
