Is ManiacCopFans.com not releated to Maniac Cop?[edit]

And if not, how so? Seems like an appropriate and relevant link for the article, especially considering it's the only site about Maniac Cop out there aside from the IMDB entry. No need to take your little "job" so seriously. Get over yourself. Max85 20:30, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

No matter how many accounts you use to spam this fansite into article, it will be reverted. Read WP:SPAM and WP:EL. IrishGuy talk 20:35, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm only using one account. There's no need for me to make multiple accounts. Good observation though. Check the IP address. Oltrelamorte 20:40, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Asking others to edit on your behalf is a violation of WP:SOCK. IrishGuy talk 20:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't ask anyone to edit on my behalf. I've been singled out here because I've seen numerous other fansites allowed to be placed in the Wikipedia External Links section. One being a Danielle Harris fansite on her page. Oltrelamorte 20:49, 29 August 2007 (UTC)oltrelamorte[reply]

Really? Your message forum says otherwise. Should you continue to violate WP:SOCK you will be blocked. IrishGuy talk 20:50, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Still didn't see where I asked anyone to edit anything. There's a difference between asking someone to do something & informing someone about something. I commend you & your detective skills though. Oltrelamorte 20:55, 29 August 2007 (UTC)oltrelamorte[reply]

So you complain about your personal inability to edit and others tell you they will edit in your stead. Then they do. But that somehow isn't sockpuppetry? If you don't want to get blocked, they had better stop. IrishGuy talk 20:57, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not even one of the people who runs the site, so I'm not "spamming" anything of mine. I just post on the forum. I added the link because it is a relevant link for an article about Maniac Cop. Max85 21:02, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

I still didn't ask anyone to do it. Go ahead & block me if that's what you want to do. Oltrelamorte 21:07, 29 August 2007 (UTC)oltrelamorte[reply]

Good fansite[edit]

Currently a site is being removed under the idea that it's a fan site. However, there are no other external links, and the site seems informative, and seems to pass the "should be linked" section of WP:EL #4. Additionally, I see nothing under WP:EL that disallows the use of a fansite. The Evil Spartan 00:05, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The site is filled with copyright violations. The message board requires registration to even view, let alone contribute. In the links to be avoided section, this fansite violates 1, 3, 6, and 10. IrishGuy talk 00:11, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your kind words, Evil Spartan but I doubt our site will be allowed to be linked now because of everything that's went down. Again, thanks for your kind words though. This is a battle we aren't going to win.

Fair use rationale for Image:Maniacop-poster.jpg[edit]

Image:Maniacop-poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
