Name may be misnomer paragraph needs reference[edit]

Page 237 of Powell's Canyons of the Colorado, has the quote used. It's at Google Books. I don't have the time to insert the reference. Perhaps someone can do that? Also, John Wesley Powell's full name appears in a photo caption but not in the text of the main article. Is the name appearing in a caption sufficient to not use his full name the first time his name appears in the article? Bob Enyart, Denver KGOV radio host (talk) 14:31, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
