Real Name[edit]

Since I've edited this post several times, only to have it revised to the way it was before my edits, I'll bring it up here. "Brother Ray"'s real name is Mark Lamonica, not Mark LaMonico as the article states. Several of the reference links even back up this point.

Real Name2[edit]

Even TNA Wrestling's blog says his name is Mark Lamonica. Why is the article totally edited to say LoMonaco?! I only just saw that last night!AndarielHalo 13:54, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

If you look on the US Patent & Trademark Office database, the trademark on the name "Brother Ray Deadly" is held by "Mark LoMonaco." The external links giving "Lamonica" could be (and I'd say are) simply perpetuating the same wrong information. 69.7.37.69 10:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Mark LoMonacoBully Ray – He has performed under this name since December 2010. 937,000 Google hits compared to 45,800 for "Mark LoMonaco" and 9,910 for "Mark Lamonica". This will also allow far more direct linking. McPhail (talk) 19:25, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

  • Support as nominator. McPhail (talk) 19:25, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Did you also check his old name Bubba Ray Dudley since he performed under that name for years when he was with the WWE (1999-2005)?--64.229.164.74 (talk) 00:46, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
Oppose It's to hard to find the common name or the most notable name. He has wrestled for years as Bubba Ray Dudley, Buh Buh Ray Dudley, Brother Ray and Bully Ray. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:21, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Oppose per his greater exposure as a Dudley boy. Also oppose moving to Dudley, since it's outdated. LoMonaco seems the best solution, and redirects from ring names do what they should. InedibleHulk (talk) 10:10, March 5, 2013 (UTC)

Requested move 14 April 2016[edit]

The result of the move request was: Moved. FYI, WP:SNOW doesn't really apply here, because that concerns itself with things that clearly *won't* happen, (i.e. unanimous and unambiguous opposes) not things that apparently have unanimous support. Someone could have come in with a killer reason not to move in the last two days of listing, that would blow this out of the water. Obviously didn't happen here though. Unanimous consensus to move!  — Amakuru (talk) 11:20, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

WP:COMMON requires we use the most common name. Their ECW and WWF ring names are far more common than their TNA names, which were playing off on those names in the first place anyway. Also, there's no basis for using an obscure uncommon name such as their real names when there is a dispute about which name is most common. We have to choose the most common and I think that's clearly Bubba and D-Von. Feedback 12:32, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Support. Clear COMMONNAME example. oknazevad (talk) 20:58, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Support. Nobody knows these people by their legal names, and their greatest exposure was in WWE under the ring names mentioned above. B. Mastino (talk) 21:22, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Support - I tend to avoid move discussions, as I think they're a waste of time. This one should be moved, though, as the discussion has taken place for several years, and previous decisions have not been in keeping with naming conventions. Let's get this done. GaryColemanFan (talk) 03:28, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Support, Mark LoMonaco and Devon Hughes are clearly not the best known names. McPhail (talk) 18:48, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
