Peerage of Ireland
[edit]Given that the Baron Fermoy is an Irish Peerage, I thought the 4th Baron Fermoy should be considered an Irish Peer. Although the status of Irish Peers became somewhat tenuous post-independence (1921), this particular inheritance occurred prior to this date and so I think the link to Irish Peerage is appropriate in this case. --Micielo (talk) 15:47, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
The edit summary from the edit warrior User:Evertatops "as source" makes no to little sense: the source given specifically says "in the Peerage of Ireland". DrKiernan (talk) 17:40, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
British citizenship
[edit]I doubt that Fermoy "resumed British nationality following his succession to the title". Firstly a peerage is not in any way connected to nationality. Secondly he may have become a naturalised American, but didn't he retain his British nationality as well?Royalcourtier (talk) 03:53, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
