The name[edit]

Mayasura is not the correct name. He is Maya the Danava builder. There is a separate character Mayasura. Imc 17:01, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. No one in India calls him Mayasura, the correct name is just "Maya". The title of this article should be changed accordingly. 10:39, 13 May 2012 (IST)

Mistake or missing info Please elaborate

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Daitya or Danuva?[edit]

Brahmanda Purana § 3, Ch. 6, verses 4-13 list Maya as a Danava. Bhagavata Purana Canto 5, Ch. 24, verse 28 also lists Maya as a Danava. I cannot find any sources listing Maya as a Daitya. The information from this page has been linked elsewhere and is muddling things up. Please either cite sources or remove/fix the erroneous information.
