please at the bottom of the page there's a link to the 2013games, named "Mersin 2013". The games are not yet to Mersin, so please cancel it and put only "2013"_. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs)

Does Serbia participate in the Games, because since break-up of Serbia and Montenegro, it isn't bordering the Mediterranean sea? -- Bojan  07:20, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I don't know, but as Serbia-Montenegro did. - Sthenel 08:02, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
According to the 2009 Games site and the Montenegrin NOC website, Serbia does participate. Also, according to the 2009 site, Andorra participates, but I can't find anything about Israel. (talk) 22:17, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Only non-Mediterranean country...[edit]

"So far, the only non-Mediterranean country that is participating is Serbia, but it has a history of participation as part of Serbia and Montenegro, prior to breakup of that country."

It's not far from the sea, but San Marino is landlocked by Italy, so technically non-Mediterranean. Also there's Andorra. Rameses The Ram (talk) 04:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

What does the phrase "Proposals have been made to include sailing in the program" mean? Sailing was included in the 2005 games and will be included again in 2009. (talk) 01:39, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Israel and Palestine[edit]

"The Hellenic Olympic Committee suggested nine more countries that don't satisfy geographic criteria to be allowed to participate, such as Portugal, Bulgaria,Israel,Palestine and some Arabic countries"

I don't quite understand - Why do you imply Israel and Palestine don't satisfy the geographic criteria? Both of them have Mediterranean coasts. Israel has a large Mediterranean coast through all its length (with cities like Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Akka, Ashdod, Ashkelon) and Palestine has Gaza and Rafah. Medal table[edit]

There's a mistake in the "All-time medal table 1951–2013", at least with Slovenia. In fact, the reference has a mistake, there are 23 medals missing !!!. In Medals Table per Country the medals obtained by Slovenia in 1997 Mediterranean Games are not included. Is easy to see that in - Medal table per country and per Games.--Marcos G. Medal table - Yugolsavia & Serbia[edit]

In the medal table Serbia is listed with the Yugolslavian medals as well. There should be a separation between Yugoslavia (until 1992) and Serbia/FR Yugoslavia
comment added by Vasarchit (talkcontribs)

I made the changes, according to the Mediterranean Games Committee website, BUT I wonder if this is the most accurate way to list the two countries. I think the results of Bari (1997) and Tunis (2001) may be integrated within Serbia as well.
