"Information about other information" is not very informative, especially if the word 'information' is interpreted in a strictly information theoretical sense. (talk) 06:13, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Which is it?[edit]

How are we going to spell it? meta-data? meta data? or metadata?

Personally I vote for metadata, but I'm not a lexicographer. DEddy (talk) 02:27, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

It should be "metadata" for consistency with the text of the article and also the main Metadata article. (talk) 01:28, 31 March 2017 (UTC)


Isn't this article duplicate for Metadata ?
