Martikan accident[edit]

This is encyklopedia, not playground for someone who dislike Martikan. First of all 89.173.82.121 didn´t provide one reference to his text. Than this text is baised (for example "then-president Rudolf Schuster, a former communist") and provocatice. I suggest to lock this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EllsworthSK (talkcontribs) 09:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Martikan accident[edit]

It would seem the references have been added and they seem credible. If there's bias it ought to be proven and not merely stated, you have not done so, the information in the text seems to be factual. I've checked the Schuster fella, seems he was in fact a high ranking communist official hence no problem there, although that info seems kinda redundant. To me the only bias being demonstrated here is by the person who keeps removing the text. Just as the original poster said, this is not a fan page, all factual and relevant information about a celebrity should be posted. Killing a person, even though unintentionally, is a relevant piece of information, especially considering Martikan was found criminally liable. I repeat, this is not a fan page. Hence I agree, the article should be locked if the vandalism by fans persists.

  • Yes, references has been added...at last. Can I ask you what is link between Martikan accident and Rudolf Schuster as former member of communistic party? Before 1989 majority of population was in communistic party, among them also peoples which are now biggest anti-communists. Martikan crashed to intoxicated man which jumped into his path, this can happen to anybody. From this article it seems like Martikan actually killed some innocent pedestrian. Next thing is that nobody has an evidence that Martiakn continued driving, from what we know he was caught few months later but not before that. So until you can give me credible sources that he continued driving this is another part of text which should be removed. And I don´t know if you know author of this text, he is well known on discussion portal of Slovak newspapers SME as magyar chouvinist, I even don´t know how many times he called Martikan as a murder. And this page must be locked, it is edited everyday several times - but not in this version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EllsworthSK (talkcontribs) 15:35, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Alrighty, so the article is biased against the Schuster guy, let's edit that out. That said, you're demonstrating a great deal of ignorance, or you're just lying. No, the majority of the Czechoslovak population was NOT a member of the communist party, instead only about 10% were members, and even that was at its peak in the 40s and 50s. Now, you tell me how you can be trusted with anything else you've said? Martikan killed a man. He WAS speeding. Those are the facts. The killed man was drunk, it's a fact, and while its relevance to the case is questionable, for the sake of objectivity IT IS INCLUDED in the article. It doesn't matter what YOU think about the event, what matters are the fact and the fact is that Martikan was found criminally liable by courts at all appeal levels. Everything else are opinions. The second newspaper reference seems to confirm the second arrest, so unless you can prove otherwise you got nothing to argue with. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WiserThanOwl (talkcontribs) 18:06, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
