Untitled[edit]

Friends let us play our part by donating small and big amounts to the world's one and only site with enormous information on all subjects with worlds major languages. Please think once about selfless service of the founder of wikipedia Mr Jimmy Wales.

I request the energetic and innovative team of wikipedia to publish the full details of DONATION PROCESS.The people from other than English countries are unable to approach you even though they are ready to donate in their standards.I think for this there may be 2 reasons 1) Fear of fraud 2)Unaware of your wikipedia official bank transaction details.

I request wikipedia once again..plz provide a separate page for donors by giving full details along with THE NAME OF BANKS in their respective countries.

Thanks and Regards.,

This page is for discussion of the micro-donations article. If you have an idea about changing Wikipedia's donation process, you might want to see the village pump. David1217 (talk) 22:18, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Microphilanthropy[edit]

I propose merging microphilanthropy here. The two terms are evidently synonyms, and the current sole reference in that article doesn't mention the term. Dai Pritchard (talk) 10:18, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No objections after more than 2 months, so I've gone ahead and merged. Dai Pritchard (talk) 17:46, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Political Donations[edit]

The term "micro-donation" should be extended to political donations. But I am uncomfortable with the definition shown on the main Wiki page as $200USD; to me this is a "small" donation. For a truly micro amount the definition should be in the $1 - $10 range.

Political causes - both candidates and groups - should be encouraging these (truly) micro-donations in the spirit of user participation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Welkinator (talkcontribs) 12:45, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
