Merger proposal

[edit]

There are two articles with the same name one with normal font and another topic is written in italic. Please read them here_ Early history of Burma and Early History of Burma. --Darz kkg (talk) 04:10, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One article is linked to Burma’s Early history,Main article: Early History of Burma and another one is linked to History of Burma’s Early History section’s Main article:Early history of Burma and the box in the History of Burma.

Merger with Indians in Burmese history

[edit]

They are separate and should remain separate. Indians have contributed much to the Burmese culture throughout Burmese history and they deserve to have a separate article. I have to say though that the current articles (this one and the Indians in Burmese history) need much revising. Both are full of inaccuracies and POV pushing. Hybernator (talk) 00:51, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think they should remain separate.
  • The article itself, Indians in Burmese history is massive POV issue, just illustrate "Indian" influence, superiority, etc in Burmese culture or history rather than how Burmese culture forms, which should be the main topic.
  • I am not denying Indian contributions to Burmese culture, but Burma is not a product of India. Mon, Pyu and Chinese contributions were not less than that of Indians, of course.
  • For that reason, the article, Indians in Burmese History, should never be a scope of elaboration (So does that of any other country), but rather, if there is an influence or notable cases, it should be mentioned in respective articles such as Prehistory of Burma for ancient times, Arakan article for influence on Arakan, etc.

For the same reason, we'll never have articles like "Burmese or Mon in Laos history" or "British in World history" but we'll mention in respective articles as in British Empire and History of Laos for example. Moreover, the current article is clearly hand-pick selection of Indian-related cases in Burmese history. Soewinhan (talk) 19:56, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point. Perhaps it should be merged with the Burmese Indians article? Hybernator (talk) 01:01, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why if some hijack my articles to merge, my edit history disappeared in the new edit history?

[edit]

This is happening in dozens of my articles. We give our contributions FOC to Wiki but why our efforts were deleted by NEW COMERS? Readers could not see our efforts.

  • Sorry about that. I did not pay much attention to edit history. But, the problem is there are two similar articles with similar content. (Early history of Burma and Early History of Burma). You may try to preserve your edit history by copy and paste this article back to Early history of Burma title and request an administrator to delete the redirect. And then, move it again to this link (Migration period of ancient Burma). Soewinhan (talk) 04:28, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've requested to merge the histories of the two articles at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. But as you have said, "This is happening in dozens of your articles", you may wish to merge the histories of your other articles. You just give them the old article title and the new (current) one. They will undertake the merger themselves. Thanks.(Also notify at your talk page) Soewinhan (talk) 17:34, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello dear Wikipedians, I have tried to copy and paste few lines from the another page of Wikipedia. But because of my stupidity, I cannot do properly and the citations are shown as errors here @ Between 60,000 and 100,000 years ago, Homo sapiens came to Southeast Asia by migrating from Africa, known as the "Out of Africa" model.[5][6][nb 1] Homo sapiens are believed to have migrated through the Middle East on their way out of Africa about 100,000 years ago.[7][8]. Please kindly help to correct the article.Darz kkg (talk) 13:16, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
