Gilbert Plass is known to be the first scientist who did detailed calculations about an expected warming due to an increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by using a computer in the year 1956. In the same year Budyko published is famous book Heat Balance of the Earth's Surface. Does anyone know if Plass used the information provided by Budyko for his calculations or did they publish their insights independent from each other? --Hg6996 (talk) 13:29, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
