Factual dispute (Feb 2017)[edit]

Currently the article says "The concept of reserve forces dates at least to early Roman legionary formations". I strongly suspect this is wrong - according to Battle of Thebes, Alexander the Great used a reserve force as well in this battle. Banedon (talk) 04:06, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
