I believe the Langaran story arc was not that important to SG-1, and the Langaran characters were even less. I doubt that the characters list would pass WP:FICT even though it already is a list. I propose to merge Dreylock and maybe Hale here because they appeared in at least two episodes; the other characters were just one-time plot devices. I can do a transwiki for the other characters or merge a little bit of their story into Langara (Stargate) so that nothing gets lost in cycperspace. Opinions? – sgeureka t•c 13:08, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

agreed, they were not very important.Transcendence (talk) 23:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged, the others transwikied to wikia:Stargate:Langarans and linked there. – sgeureka t•c 00:23, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This topic is still quite fresh, and we may not have sufficient emotional distance from it, so take this proposal with a gran of salt. However, Stargate SG-1 is over, and it seems like most of the Lucian Alliance characters won't make any future appearances in the movies. Since the list contains so many one-time characters, I propose to lose those and merge the others (Netan, Jup and Tenat) here. I can do a transwiki for the other characters or merge a little bit of their story into Lucian Alliance so that nothing gets lost in cycperspace. also agreed, not very important characters. Transcendence (talk) 23:40, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Netan, Jup and Tenat are merged here, the other one-off characters were transwikied to wikia:Stargate:Lucian Alliance (and link there). – sgeureka t•c 12:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a list of three recurring Tollan characters, which could be covered here quite nicely. Omoc isn't really recurring, but his death was quite important in a second SG-1 episode so there is no current reason to not merge him here. – sgeureka t•c 13:56, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

agreed, they weren't very important. Transcendence (talk) 23:41, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merged. – sgeureka t•c 23:07, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Only Fifth and RepliCarter (and maybe First) are really important Replicators, so I'd like to merge their character sections here. This merge request is mainly inspired by WP:FICT, but may be controversial so I'm asking others for input before I go ahead. I'd trim&merge information about the other characters into Replicator (Stargate). – sgeureka t•c 14:30, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not so sure about this one. The Replicators were a part of a major story arc spanning multiple seasons and were the main focus of numerous episodes. The characters besides Fifth and Replicarter seem important enough to be separate from a miscellaneous article which really should be for characters that don't fit anywhere else. See WT:STARGATE#Merge recurring characters where? for an alternate suggestion. – sgeureka t•c 14:30, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of Artificial human characters

[edit]

I propose to merge all existing list-articles and subsections about artificial human characters in Stargate (Harlan (Stargate), Reese (Stargate), the Human-Replicators and the Asurans) into one new article-list called Artificial human characters in Stargate. The name of the new list-article can still be changed if someone has a better idea. The reason for this proposal is that Stargate only has a handful of artificial humans (Reese, Fifth, Replicator, Niam, Oberoth) that are both (truly) in-universe notable and may have real-world coverage (sales figures, critical and popular reception, development, cultural impact, and merchandise per Wikipedia:Notability (fiction)), and I believe they shouldn't be spread over 3 separate lists. I think one or two weeks for discussion is an appropriate amount of time for discussion. – sgeureka t•c 13:13, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Is there a reason that "None (film)" is listed for so many characters? If they were not in the film, why mention that no one portrayed them? Furthermore, why is Alexis Cruz listed twice for Skarra? Just seems like extraneous information to me. JeffHCross (talk) 23:39, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
