When people from Provence write in mistralien norm, it's quite always beacause they consider Provençal as a distinct language, not a dialect of the so-called Occitan. A very large majority of the provençal people (I do say a very large majority, not a hundred percent), due to cultural and historical reasons, don't want to be included into a larger area - for them, Provence is a region of its own, not a part of Occitania, Provençal is a language of its own, not a dialect of Occitan. --Alan Andriéu (talk) 17:57, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
