Are there any issues? AdabowtheSecond (talk) 01:25, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Was not at home since 3 days. Sorry for the delay. There are some minor issues as well as few major ones. I'll give out the complete review in 6 hours. Again, sorry for the delay. TheSpecialUser TSU 01:28, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Review
  • Split the Charts into 2 seperate sections; Chart performance (containing the details) and Charts (with the chart)
  • Tracklisting - it is a useless section, thus remove it
  • No need of inclusion of ref in the infobox
  • Images need WP:ALT
  • Image in the section Charts' is of no use there. Please either move it to relevant section or remove it
  • In the United Kingdom, "Moments" debuted on the UK Singles Chart at number 118 on chart issue of 3 December 2011 -> UK is repeating thus remove it
  • In Canada, the song debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 at number 87 on the chart issue of 21 March 2012 -> The song also debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 at number 87 on the chart issue of 21 March 2012
  • One Direction performed the song on their Up All Night Tour (2011–12) - no need of stating the year.
  • "Moments" was written by Ed Sheeran and Si Hulbert, with production handled by Hulbert - "Moments" was written by Ed Sheeran and Si Hulbert, and was produced by Hulbert or "Moments" was written by Ed Sheeran and Si Hulbert. It was produced by Hulbert
  • In an interview, Sheeran stated about the song -> In an interview, Sheeran talking about the song, stated,
  • In April 2012, Sheeran referenced the song in an interview with Dose.ca, how he has a surge of young followers in North America. "It’s weird, in England, I see everything —... - what does this mean? Probably a change to this will fix it: In April 2012, Sheeran referenced the song in an interview with Dose.ca, and talked about how he had a surge of young followers in North America. He added that, "It’s weird, in England, I see everything —..."
  • "Moments" is a song by British-Irish boy band One Direction, taken from the deluxe edition of their debut studio album Up All Night (2011) - remove (2011)
  • Start a new paragraph with "Moments" received positive reviews from music critics....
  • Despite not being released as a single, the song charted in lower regions on the singles charts in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom - you must include something about it in the article later onward, most probably in the Chart section.
  • One Direction performed the song on their first headlining concert tour, the Up All Night Tour (2011-2012) - no need of stating years

How this was passed as a Good article is something beyond me.

Issues[edit]

  • Infobox—source for songwriter is not needed.
  • Lead—the article is too short to contain 2 paragraphs for the lead.
  • taken from the deluxe edition of their debut studio album Up All Night. --> Year?
  • The song received positive reviews from music critics, praising the song's memorability and compositional structure. --> Past tense to present?
  • Background—In an interview, Sheeran talking about the song, stated, --> Huh? This doesn't make sense. And anyways, what interview?
  • Composition and critical reception—these two sections don't go well together.
  • According to the sheet music published by EMI Music Publishing --> Unnecessary
  • Written in the key of D major; vocal elements range from the note of D4 to A5. --> Awkward prose
  • "Moments" is a pop ballad --> Should be stated earlier in the article
  • What the f*ck makes the 'Sugarscape' and 'Pop & Glory' sources reliable?
  • Charts—add 'sortable'
  • Two pictures is a little much for such a short article.
  • References—every 'work' paramater that isn't a printed source should not be in italics. There's some over-linking going on (e.g. Allmusic, Rovi)
  • This hardly feels like a GA. It's so short.

I notified the main contributer to the article 10 days ago and they have made no effort to address the issues. As such, I am delisting this as a GA. The article can be renominated any time but I would suggest that the above remaining issues are fixed. Till 00:33, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Info box
  • Use Hubert's full name in the Producer parameter
  • Add the previous and next song to the infobox, like on "Homeless" for example.
Lead
  • You don't need to say it's from the deluxe edition
  • "The track was not commissioned as a single." → Remove. You don't need to say something if it didn't happen. It's like saying that the song didn't chart in America.
  • "Upon the release of Up All Night, the song charted in lower regions on the singles charts in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom." → Add somewhere in the sentence that it chart in tese countries due to strong digital download sales. And link digital download.
Background and composition
  • Spilt these. They can have their own sections. Then name the Composition section Composition and lyrics.
  • "In a November 2012 interview with MTV News" → In an interview with MTV News in November 2012,
Reception
  • Rename to Critical reception
  • I don't see why Sheeran's opinion is in a box quote? Not really sure if it is relevant information to be honest, I don't see how it fits in the article.
  • "whom highlighted its" → whom praised its
  • Unitalicise the lyrics.
Live performance

"A live performance of the song is featured on the DVD release of the tour." → The song was later included on the DVD release, One Direction: Up All Night – The Live Tour.

Tracklist
  • Remove this section altogether. I notice this was raised in GA/1
Charts
  • One table for 2011, one table for 2012, like on "I Got You" for example.
References

Go through and check that Capital FM, Roling Stone etc are linked and that MTV is not italicised. On hold. AARONTALK 23:00, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

November 2016[edit]

@98.18.212.231: Could you explain your recent edits? Si Hulbert is a writer of the song, and One Direction is English-Irish, not British-Irish. I am not quite sure why you are insisting on British in place of English. One Direction's article appears to use "English-Irish" as well.
