Editor is violating WP policy and copyright law by adding raw Google translations to English Wikipedia.[edit]

Editor Vvven is adding vast amounts of text copied-and-pasted from raw Google machine translations of Spanish Wikipedia text, with minimal editing. This is against Wikipedia policy, and since it is done without attribution, violates the copyrights retained by editors who made contributions to the Spanish text.

This copying of raw Google translations yields such ridiculous and nonsensical statements as: "At first the central nave was crowned by an austere vault whose last pillar, that corresponds to the cruiser, strengthened the point of support of the dumbbell forming a thick buttress", or this gem: "The solution came in a second phase, already dead Jun Guas, in which the project was simplified."

WP:MACHINETRANSLATION says: "Avoid machine translations. Translation takes work. Machine translation almost always produces very low-quality results. Wikipedia consensus is that an unedited machine translation, left as a Wikipedia article, is worse than nothing."

This editor is doing a lot of damage to many Wikipedia articles, and should stop adding these wholesale machine translations and copyright violations immediately, as he is creating a great deal of work for other editors, whose time could be better spent doing other tasks than fixing such lazy editing.
