Need to Correct Something[edit]

the article says "along the same river plain, it superseded the canal, which was filled in some areas." This implies the Canal is currently non-navigable, which is false. The Erie Canal has been widened and deepened twice, once in the late 19th Century, and once in the early 20th. Some older sections of canal were bypassed and filled in, in favor of new construction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Woogawoogawooga (talkcontribs) 11:47, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the image highlighting Montgomery County; this image was made by me purely for demonstration purposes and was not intended for actual use. For further discussion, please see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Counties. A new image, consistent with an agreed-upon naming and coloring scheme, will soon replace File:Montgomery.png, which has been listed for deletion as of July 7. My apologies for the confusion :-) -- Wapcaplet 01:40 16 Jul 2003 (UTC)
