Request edit on 2 October 2018[edit]

Template:RMassist must be used on Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests.— Preceding unsigned comment added by MC-Brand-Knew (talkcontribs) 17:24, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@MC-Brand-Knew: The official website still prominently uses the name MORGAN CREEK ENTERTAINMENT GROUP. I see nothing indicating a name change on that site. Can you link to a press release announcing the name change, or better yet, a news report from a reliable source? As to how to request this change, no you can't do it by changing the DISPLAYTITLE (that keyword has very limited application) and see Wikipedia:Requested moves or Template:Requested move for detailed instructions. See also WP:NCCORP for Wikipedia's naming conventions for the title and note that the official name is boldfaced in the lead sentence. – wbm1058 (talk) 12:57, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request edit on 10 October 2018[edit]

Add a 'Reboot plans' section above the 'List of Morgan Creek films' section with the following text: In 2017, Morgan Creek announced plans to reboot their classic films from the 1980s and 1990s as either television series or movies, following the success of The Exorcist television series reboot. The 1990 American fantasy, slasher film, Nightbreed, is in development as a TV series on Syfy.

Please link 'The Exorcist' to the Wikipedia page found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Exorcist Please link 'Nightbreed' to the Wikipedia page found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightbreed Please cite the last sentence with the Deadline article here: https://deadline.com/2018/06/nightbreed-tv-series-reboot-clive-barker-morgan-creek-syfy-1202415885/

We'd like to make these edits as Morgan Creek Entertainment has recently rebranded itself and the Wikipedia page needs to be updated to reflect changes the brand has made.

You must explicitly disclose your employer and the client before you do anything else. After you do, we can get you oriented into what we do in Wikipedia, and how we do it, and you will be able to make useful edit requests, but first things first. Jytdog (talk) 20:00, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Now that you have disclosed and learned a bit about what we do here, I have re-opened the request you made. Somebody will be along to respond to it presently. Jytdog (talk) 01:10, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that plans the company intends to follow through with for the future fall under WP:NOTACRYSTALBALL. It's not Wikipedia's purpose to describe the future plans of companies, and in any event, the requested text does not delineate how far along those plans are—leaving it up to the reader to decide how much has been accomplished (e.g., "In 2017, Morgan Creek announced plans to reboot their classic films" and "The 1990 American fantasy, slasher film, Nightbreed, is in development"). Surely this information can wait until the plans are out of development. I believe that a sentence which is more definitive on what has been accomplished by the company in furtherance of these plans would be more acceptable.  Spintendo  05:16, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Wiki-links to The Exorcist and Nightbreed already exist in the table of produced films. Once the plans for Nightbreed are solidified and any new Wikipedia pages are created concerning the new production, that would be the best time to place information into the article.  Spintendo  22:52, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Morgan Creek Entertainment GroupMorgan Creek Entertainment – Brand Knew is the agency representing Morgan Creek Entertainment. They have recently rebranded, and the current title does not correctly reflect the brand. • Oppose. If it was recently rebranded, it's unlikely (but possible) for it to be the time to change it yet, at least. The official name and primary sources such as their own website, press releases and news stories that simply report those press releases, count for very little. Note also that nom has disclosed that they are editing as a paid employee of the organisation concerned. Andrewa (talk) 21:43, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose, I think. According to this, they rebranded in in oct 2017 to Morgan Creek Entertainment Group; I don't see sources for a re-rebranding... Jytdog (talk) 00:21, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

They had no plans for Morgan Creek Entertainment's closure. 187.255.222.126 (talk) 02:05, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of the record label?[edit]

Odd that there's no mention of Morgan Creek Records. Apart from OST albums, they released Drenched by Miracle Legion (legal problems ensued). 176.85.135.205 (talk) 17:15, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
