Merge proposal Rhihole Gbinigie[edit]

Due to lack of sources, creator asking for deletion, arguably week keep WP:ANYBIO#1, arguably week delete WP:BLP1E (1 event + 1 participant). There is merit in the AfD keep [1] about systemic bias. Article size, lack of sources (particularly RS) poor for a BLP, so merge is compromise. Widefox; talk 17:20, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Tourism International[edit]

Apparently, Omowunmi Akinnifesi won both Miss Tourism International and Miss Bikini International in 2005, and as a Wikipedia editor it is my duty to search for sources to support this claim, but I can honestly say that although these pageants do exist, I have never seen any reference which proves this apart from Nigerian newspapers, and I am yet to find any pictures of the ceremonies. I have visited the websites of these competitions and several reputable sources of information including Pageantopolis, but there is no mention of her having won these contests. Until proper proof can be found, this information has been removed as Wikipedia should be dedicated to providing accurate details.Cleanupbabe (talk) 22:46, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MBGN World vs. MBGN Universe[edit]

To the person who keeps describing Isabella Ayuk as MBGN Universe 2012 in the article: Please refrain from making this change in future. I am not a fan of Miss Ayuk, but please bear in mind that in the midst of the age scandal, Silverbird confirmed that she was still the MBGN titleholder, which automatically made her MBGN World, and she continued to bear that title until her reign was over. If that wasn't the case, why did she continue to perform ceremonial duties as a pageant winner? Even though she was sent to Miss Universe instead of Damiete Charles-Granville, the latter is still described as MBGN Universe 2012 to this day. This is not the first time this has happened - you will probably remember that in 1993, Rhihole Gbinigbe was only sent to Miss Universe, yet she was still the MBGN titleholder. The MBGN website also confirms that Ayuk is an ex-MBGN World, not MBGN Universe. Cleanupbabe (talk) 14:39, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary edits[edit]

I have been editing this page for a long time, and have not encountered any issues until now. At one point it was nominated for deletion due to unnecessay trivia and no references until I made changes, and in 2013, I updated the MBGN page using Miss America and Miss USA as guides. Yet for some reason, other editors - Yuliaalipova in particular - have been tampering with the article. For instance, why is the reigning winner's name constantly removed from the beginning of the article? (Most pageant pages, including Miss America and Miss USA include the winner's name at the begining, so I don't understand why it's being removed.) Secondly, although it has since been restored, the history segment was deleted - again for no reason. (If people simply wanted a list of winners, they could just visit the MBGN website.) Finally, there are far too many tables on this page. The pageant is MBGN, so it's only fair we have that one table which concentrates on the winner i.e. Miss MBGN World, and the contestants that achieved a straight win prior to 2005. Unless the runners-up - MBGN Universe - are successful at international level they shouldn't be included here; even the Wikipedia:WikiProject Beauty Pageants rules state that we may create another page if the article is too long. Don't get me wrong; I have no problem with other editors, I just think that they should know what they're doing first. Cleanupbabe (talk) 11:41, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 14:13, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
