Christ and the Church[edit]

The article should maybe try to explain exactly how theologically close the Church is to Christ when you take into account that Mary is the Mother of the Church. There is of course an incarnational interpretation, which claims that since the Church is the body of Christ, the Church can minimally consist of Christ in his uniqueness. In fact, even the foetus or the embryo of Jesus would count as the entire Church under this radical kind of ecclesiology. And because of the Theotokos dogma, this embryo/foetus would still be divine, even before it was born. ADM (talk) 09:50, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ambrose quote[edit]

It would be nice to have St Ambrose's actual words, or a primary reference to them, in the article. I find it hard to believe that the quote "was not known" before 1944, since Ambrose's opus was a runaway best seller for over 14 centuries. Rwflammang (talk) 01:24, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
