I have a photograph taken by George Patrick Taylor of the stump Chrissie was found in. Sgt Charles E Tomkinson who was Officer In Charge of Ulverstone Police at the time Chrissie was pulled out of the tree stump.. This picture was found in a drawer of my father's and I am wondering why he would have I.He wasn't born until 19 24 but became a police officer in 1954 and am guessing someone gave it to him but don't know why.[edit]

I have a photo taken by George Patrick Taylor of the stump Chrissies body was found in. On top of the stump is SgtCharles E Thomkinson who was I/C of Ulverstone Police. This photo is original and I found it in a draw after my dad died. He was a policeman after the 2nd WW but not born until 1924 and was wondering how and why he had it. On the back of the photo was written "The stump where Chrissies body was found" so I have researched a bit but never found any copies of this picture so what do I do with it now? Can somebody help me. It seems what she went through was horrific for a little girl. The last person to see and hear her was John Hearps and with his help ,Charles Taylor found the 9foot 6 inch tree stump she was put into head first with bailing wire tightly wrapped around her throat and her blouse and brooch pushed down her throat suffocating her. How did John Hearps know which tree stump she was in and why didn't he look.
