Verifiability and notability[edit]
Just a note to User:IceUnshattered and User:Nneonneo, who seem to be translating this article: if you can't find the information elsewhere (google search, chinese google search), it's basically useless and should be discarded. (WP:V). Just to lighten the translation work a little :) Another thing: I'm really not so sure about the notability of this school in the English sense --> there's a Chinese Wikipedia, if it's notable in China, put it there. Unless it meets WP:N in English terms (ie mentioned in 3rd party English press), it fails the notability guideline and therefore should be deleted. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 05:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- That's basically why I stopped working on it for a while. Maybe it could be merged into another article? I'm not familiar with the area at all, so it might be better to first understand the article, and then make a shorter version to be merged into a larger article. Or maybe it should just be deleted. I'm not sure I agree. Certainly, we need evidence of verifiability, but I see nothing in WP:V or [[WP:N] that suggests that foreign language sources cannot be used, and in fact WP:VUE would seem to push in the other direction. Unless there is a specific policy statement of which I'm not aware, notability may indeed be shown exclusively by foreign language sources (although of course we'd need to know what they say). - I found it odd that this article has more Chinese content (albeit unverified) than the interwikied Chinese article. I think the original contributor was trying to write a Chinese article but couldn't post because the Chinese wikipedia is blocked in China, while English is accessible.
