Reworked article[edit]

Since no one has seen fit to remedy this article in the last five years, I tackled it today when I wandered across it. The self-published flags have been there for three years. The nomination for NPOV review has been there for one year.

The majority of the content had been added in 2014 by a single editor, Canadianknowledgelover, who took the article from less than 5,000 bytes to almost 19,000 bytes, an increase of 4 times the size. The article morphed from a simple one-paragraph biography mentioning three books authored by Nathan Winograd into a full blown "publicity piece" with an extensive background about the man and his viewpoints. At the time, the additional content was almost exclusively cited with sources from nathanwinograd.com and nokilladvocacycenter.org and his various businesses, foundations and websites he himself operated, founded or worked for. The article has not been corrected since then.

Per policies WP:NPOV, WP:RS, WP:PRIMARY, WP:COPYRIGHT, WP:QUESTIONABLE, WP:SPONSORED, WP:RSSELF, WP:USERGENERATED, WP:SELFSOURCE and probably a dozen others, I have taken the hachet to all the offending sections that haven't been corrected in the prior five years. I checked EVERY citation.

Removed the entire Biography section and most of the Statements section as it was entirely based on the self-published sources nathanwinograd.com and nokilladvocacycenter.org. If someone can find a secondary source that is WP:RS, then go ahead and add back in some content.

I removed other content that was supported solely by NW's own websites, quotes from his own books, quotes from an interview with a virtually unknown BLOG, and a few non-relevant citations that were simply tangential to NW's words but didn't say anything about NW in return (like "NW says blah-blah-blah, because of fact-X" with a citation to fact-X) which were merely salted into paragraphs written from primary sources.

Updated the ref style to the newer method, and updated some dead links.

Note: In IMDB, the film does not list Nathan Winograd in the credits at all, but I have left mention of it in the article.

I also left in the 11 precepts of the No Kill Equation since they seemed to be elementary, but they were not a quote (so I removed the quotebox). Left the heading the same words so the No Kill Equation redirect will still work.

What was left of Honours and awards went into the Film section.

Removed the See Also section since it duplicated links already in the article. [MOS:SEEALSO]]

Trimmed External Links to the ONE which was truly relevant (and not just incidental or promotional). WP:EXT

It should be noted that the above account Rosebud0214 which has not been active since 2020 is very likely to be a sock-puppet of the blocked user Normal Op who was also using the account Platonk. Psychologist Guy (talk) 10:14, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article recreated[edit]

The article has been recreated by a new account [1]. I would agree that WP:PRIMARY is an issue here. Psychologist Guy (talk) 10:22, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
