This article needs some additions based on the recent problems in the Metropolitan Police with Ali Dizaei and Tarique Ghaffur--MartinUK (talk) 22:12, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Separatist"[edit]

The reference that supposedly supports this addition does not indicate that the NBPA consider themselves separatists. The article was written by a newspaper journalist who is not involved in the organization. Calling the organization "separatist" is not neutral unless it is shown that NPBA have actually referred to themselves in that way. ... discospinster talk 17:48, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So the British National Party can't be called fascist, white nationalist or radical right-wing populists? Hunkbomb11 (talk) 00:38, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
White people can't join. This is clearly separatist. The BNP only allow white people to join, which is also separatist. I appreciate that it's not neutral to outright say that they're separatist, but would it really be so wrong to suggest it, what with the blatant truth in it? Also, there was a Tory MP who slammed them for not allowing whites who want to prevent racism joining. One of the NBPA representatives apparantly responded by saying that he was "like the BNP", although that may be ficticous slander put out by a far right supporter. I don't remember where I read this, but it does seem to me that there are some serious double standards going on in the UK. And I say this as a liberal. Organisations like this only give the BNP fuel for their fire of hate. And, to be honest, if they ban people from joining based on their skin colour, then they are no better. I have no idea why, but no one bothered to actually link to the NBPA membership policy, which is freely available as required by law. The organization does not restrict full membership to black officers and I'm not sure what made anyone think that it did. David Davies made an extraordinary claim, but no one seems to have bothered checking its veracity. Okfashi (talk) 16:49, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambig[edit]

There's also a NBPA in the U.S., so I made National Black Police Association a disambig page, put the UK NBPA here and the US NBPA at National Black Police Association (US). I updated all the "what links here" in articles, but not other pages. I also made Black police a disambig page. Simesa (talk) 00:34, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
